Last month, the IHOP Missions Base purchased 120 acres of land in Grandview, MO (South Kansas City, five miles from our current facility) to build a new
ministry campus. Eventually, it will host five prayer rooms: The Global Prayer Room (to lead worldwide prayer on GOD TV and our webstream), the Justice Prayer Room, the Worship Prayer Room, the All-Nations Prayer Room, the Israel Prayer Room, and the Kansas City Prayer Room. One planned project is a 5,000 seat prayer room.
In 1983, Bob Jones prophesied to Mike Bickle that he would be a part of leading a worldwide youth movement of prophetic singers and musicians who intercede for the nation of Israel. He said that the movement will have a ministry like President Harry S. Truman, one of the greatest “political intercessors” for Israel. He then told him that we would move right next to Harry S. Truman.
Fifty years ago a Jewish couple purchased a piece of President Truman’s farm in Grandview. Somehow, through the rapid commercial development of Grandview, the valuable land remained in their hands. The Jewish couple desired the property to be used for something that would help the city of Grandview. After they visited IHOP and saw what the young people do day in and day out they began moving forward with selling the property to IHOP. Amazingly, they elected to sell the property below market value and a man from Texas offered to pay for the entire cost of the property. We closed on the property January 27th, fifty years from when they purchased the property from President Truman!
Nightwatch Begins 2nd Prayer Room: The Justice Prayer Room
Monday, February 4th, we began our second prayer room in the Night Watch, The Justice Prayer Room. This prayer room will contend in prayer for LIFE for the unborn and for salvation for the nation of Israel. I was privileged to lead the first set! We had an amazing time singing from Psalm 42 about Jesus’ second coming and the hope of the eternal city that we will dwell in. I will be leading one set a week in this new prayer room in addition to the set I already lead at the Global Prayer Room. I am excited what God has in store for our Night Watch community as we eventually begin three more prayer rooms declaring throughout the night to the nations of the earth, “The Night Belongs to the Lord”.
